Description

Just 15 minutes from downtown Québec City, cross the bridge to Île d'Orléans, where agriculture and history intertwine beautifully. Known as the cradle of French presence in North America since 1534, this island is one of Canada’s best-kept secrets. Immerse yourself in an authentic experience that showcases the vibrant past and present of farming in Québec. This 3-hour farm and food tour takes you through Île d’Orléans’ rich flavours and scenic landscapes. We start at La Ferme le Bunker, a 5th-generation family farm where you’ll find pumpkins, squash, maple products, corn, and more. You’ll also encounter a fascinating Cold War relic—an anti-nuclear bunker built in 1964. Then, we’ll visit La Ferme François Gosselin, renowned for its berries, including strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, celebrated across the region. Next, we’ll walk through the farm's sugarbush, where maple trees have been tapped for generations. Here, you'll enjoy tastings of local maple products, from syrup to candies, all while learning about this iconic Canadian tradition. The tour wraps up at the island’s highest viewpoint, on the rooftop terrace of Motel Île d'Orléans. Soak in panoramic views of Québec City and the St. Lawrence River while sampling black garlic, blackcurrant jam, and local cheeses. Looking for more adventure? We also offer rentals for e-bikes, scooters, tandems, and more, as well as an e-bike tour at 1:30 p.m.! Book online or check on-site for availability.
